When I asked her to smile, this is what I got...
This is what I got to do this morning! I got some work stuff for thirty-one done at Starbucks.
Very odd to be without Emalyn! I got to meet a friend for a pedicure and then we got on the road to head to lunch. Going 60 mph, I felt a pop and my car started
To slow down. I pulled over as quickly as I could which happened to be In a terrible place... On a bridge, partially blocking an exit. Thankfully my friend turned around and came and sat a ways behind me so I could go sit in her car while I waited. I called Craig, and since we were pretty close to The hospital, he came and changed it. So hot, terrible spot, just miserable. Love him for coming though. I finished just in time to go get emalyn. I was so thankful I didn't have emalyn with me (which I ALWAYS do). God really had this whole day under control.
This is some of what Emalyn did at school. They finger painted fish and planted seeds :)
I was really curious how she would eat when not strapped into a booster seat with mom standing near by and it was what I suspected. The empty side of this container had grapes and raisins (I realize that Is really kind of doubling up, but I have a lot of grapes and she REALLY likes raisins!). All of her veggies are still there of course :)
The teachers even told me that emalyn took a nap... On a mat, on the floor, with other kids in the room... For like 30 minutes. I am oh so impressed. She definitely seemed tired, so I tried putting her down when we got home but she wasn't having it. So... We loaded up and headed to Discount Tire. I took a few activities (including the purse of course) and snacks and we made it through the wait without any melt downs! Unfortunately, we had to buy a new tire :(
One last note for the day... This is how obsessed she is with the phone... This fish has small dots that are being used as a keyboard...
As you can tell, her bruise is yellowing... I think it's become more noticeable because people keep asking me about it :/.
I am so thankful for our one day at MDO and so hope that we will have many more! I know is it such a good opportunity for Emalyn to be around other 1 year olds and be taught and instructed by someone other than me!
