Great Friends and a Full House!

I know I am really behind!  The weekend of August 24th, we had many visitors! On Friday, Nano, Poppy and Aunt Stacey came through for a few hours and we went to lunch at Megg's Cafe... Delicious!  Emalyn was so excited to have visitors!

Needed a break i guess :)

Friday afternoon, several of our great great friends from college came into town for the weekend.  Sam and Kim and their 8 month old Cooper, Heather, Brad, and their three kids Grace, Corbin and Konner, Chip, and Josh!  We had a very full house but had such a great time!  Our hang outs sure look different now with all the kiddos, but such a blessing to have such great friends that we can hang out with so easily!

Sam, Kim, and Cooper

What Emalyn thinks we do on the boat... Eat.

Grace and the captain.

Brad and Grace giving the tube a go :)

Cooper was exhausted

Look at Uncle Chip... emalyn loves you!

Sleeping kids everywhere :)

Then other kids swam...

Emalyn decided to supervise while she ate... Of course.

Thank you all so much for visiting... Such a wonderful weekend!

Dad's Day Off

A little photo shoot before school :)

This wasn't planned but she ran away from me and hid on the front porch.

Obsessed!

She crawled under the covers with her baby and gave her her paci :)

Daddy took a couple days vacation and had a 4 day weekend!  We were supposed to go to Columbus for a visit, but poor Kara had a stomach virus and we decided it would be best to keep some distance!  So, we went to the zoo in Waco!

Emalyn knows the letter 'o'

Looking at the fish is way more fun with daddy here!

She literally couldn't take her eyes off the giraffe.

Its been a long time since I've been to a zoo and I have to say I was in awe as well!

Thankfully, the Waco zoo has several indoor areas strategically placed to provide some periodic air conditioning.  In the fish area, we found Nemo...

And Dori!

This little guy really freaked emalyn out but it was so cool to see so many animals up close!

In the tepee at the bison exhibit.

There is an entire exhibit dedicated to Brazos River Valley snakes.  I don't know if you can see, but emalyn had a death grip on us the whole time... She is NOT a fan!

She did enjoy riding the shark though!

We had some lunch before heading back to temple... Such an attitude ALL THE TIME!

So nice to have daddy with us to help us shop for a fun fun weekend with some great college friends!!

Fire Station Tour / Pool Fun / Jessica and John Visit / Cowboy Party

Fun at open gym!

They got a new ball pit!  She wasn't totally sure about it! Kept wanting in and out.

She decided to be pouty by the end so she found herself a nice little slopes spot to watch the other kids on the trampoline.

Ready to go to school last Thursday!

Friday morning there was a play group planned by the Medical Spouses Alliance.  We got to tour the fire station in downtown Temple.  Hudson and Henley were there too!  I think I enjoyed it more than Emalyn did!

The firemen have some great recliners to watch tv on down time!

We recently watched Finding Nemo and this reminded me so much of the "he touched the butt!" scene.  She kept looking back at me like she was doing something wrong :)

She worked on perfecting her scowl the rest of the time we were there.

Not very happy about the hat.

Friday evening daddy convinced her to put it on though!

Friday afternoon emalyn and I took a little trip to the pool.  I finally bought emalyn her first pool toys from the dollar section at target, a bucket with shovel and two little water balls.  Pretty entertaining!

On Saturday, Aunt Jessica and Uncle John came to visit! We were so excited to have them here... It has been way to long!  Aunt Jessica wanted to try pigtails on Emalyn (noone believes me when I say she loses it if you try to put her hair up).  I captured the experience as proof ;)

Saturday afternoon we went out on the boat for a while!

Sunday morning we went to church while Craig worked and tried to play until daddy got home from work.

We managed to stay awake until he got he, but barely!  We had a blast with Jess and John... Played lots of games! Thanks so much for visiting!

Sunday evening we attended a cowboy party at a restaurant in the middle of nowhere called Ratibor.  It was a welcome for the anesthesia interns and fellows.

My cuties on the bench outside.

Her favorite big girl!

We relaxed a bit that evening before an early bed time!

Monday morning, little miss showed me yet another thing that I must do often, she started pointing her phone at me and saying "cheeeese!"

We often walk across the street to the shade to wait for daddy to come home.  We played a little football Monday.

"I'm ready!!"
