18 Month Check Up

On Monday, we met Emalyn's new pediatrician, Dr. Riser.  She was a little overdue for her 18 month check up, so we found ourselves a new doctor who comes highly recommended by a couple people we've met!  Emalyn's face is currently frozen with a scowl any time we meet anyone new, so she was not very friendly to the receptionist.  The nurse took us back to be measured, and I felt like I was trying to hold a flopping fish on the scale.  She was throwing the biggest fit.  The nurse had a really difficult time measuring her, so I'm going to try and blame her off the chart measurement on her squirming, but needless to say, here are her 18 month stats.

22 pounds (with clothes and shoes, so not sure how that compares to her measurements from San Antonio) (15th percentile)
29.3 inches (2nd percentile)

The nurse enthusiastically informed us we were going into the dinosaur room.

Emalyn was not a fan.
This is the look she gave that darn thing for 30 minutes.  I made her sit on it and she was not happy.

My daughter pretty much screamed, like she was dying, every time someone tried to touch her.  I really hope this is a quick phase! :).
