Halloween 2013

For Halloween we went over to our good friends, the Olers, for dinner and trick or treating! Daddy had to work until 7:45, but Mimi and Pop came up to celebrate with us!

We told her we were going to put on her hood...

And we did. She hated it to say the least.

I explained what trick or treating is and that we got to go get candy and she agreed to wear the hood :)

She absolutely loved the whole process. Here is how it went. She knocked on the door, they opened it, and Emalyn said 'I want some candy!' We would then have hersay 'trick or treat' but she just could not stop those words from coming out of her mouth first!

Daddy made it in time to do two houses with us at the end! :)

Oh how I love all these fun new things with my growing girl! I love seeing how her personality is developing!

October Happenings

We took a big group trip to the zoo in Waco! This was the girls picture :)

I don't have the boy pic but all the big boys are SOOO sweet and helpful to Em.

Snack break :)

Em is obsessed with the movie Madagascar so she loves seeing all the animals.

Exhausted!

Emalyn LOVES to go run... And I mean run. She has this crazy power walking stance and just takes off.

Em has also started talking to her stuffed animals and baby dolls. I caught her saying 'look at my eyes doggy' and 'you sit right here'. I think we had just done a time out :/

Our good friends from college drove through town and we met them for lunch. Their three littles ones and emalyn made our table quite a sight!

My good friend Kristi made this super cute Halloween shirt for emalyn! Out for another walk :)

First and only pony tail! She is the funniest person about her hair. She only lets me clip her bangs back but this day in particular she let me do it!

This was one of our past attempts at letting her put her hair up.

I don't even know what to say about this. We were walking between two stores and she just whipped out her phone and started talking.

That week we had Cici visit for 3 whole days! We loved having her here to just hang out!

She and emalyn made sausage rolls... Emalyn's first true baking experience. Mom isn't the best!

A cold front blew in that afternoon!

As soon as Cici left, Pop came and stayed for the weekend while Mimi went to Dallas.

My dad helped me get started on painting my furniture and emalyn hung out in the garage with us while being a doctor.

Sunday, Mimi came back to get Pop and we all went to the Silo Christmas Tree Farm where they have a whole fall fun day set up!

She refused to touch the horse and pretty much made this face the whole ride :)

We fed the animals...

They were very full already. Emalyn didn't understand why they didn't want to eat.

Bridal Shower Weekend One!

I'm sorry I'm so behind with posting! We went to Boerne the first weekend of October for Jessica's first bridal shower! It was such a sweet shower and fun time celebrating my sister!
