Hot, Hot, Hot!!

Saturday

This weekend, Tracy, Kevin, Baxter, Matt, Sarah, and Addison came to visit!  We were so excited about their visit we could hardly stand it!  We had to walk to the playground across the street just to keep busy until they got there!

Little Miss Thing wanted to do everything by herself!

It was only 10:00am, but oh my it was sooo humid!  We had met Cy, Pres and Isla (and Lindsay of course) at the park... After about 20 minutes, Emalyn started telling them buh-bye and saying go go.  I think she was hot!  When we got home, she disappeared.  This is how I found her. 

I'm telling you... Obsessed with our bed!  She laid there (with her lovie and paci left on my bed from the morning) for probably 30 minutes until everyone got there!  I kept asking her if she wanted to get down and play and she said no!

Craig had to work Saturday and didn't end up getting off until 3, but as soon as he did we headed out to the boat!  Addison was such a trooper!

Cousins :). I just love that they are so close in age and can grow up together! 

Seriously... Trooper.  That can't be comfortable!

Saturday evening I had a function for the Medical Spousal Alliance... A kick off event.  They dropped me off at the dock to go get ready and went back out for a bit.  Craig came towards the end of the event and several of our new friends were planning to go to 'Bo's Barn' to go dancing.  Since Kevin and Tracy were in town and watching Emalyn (and because we NEVER do this) we went with them!  We had a good time and Emily and Eric taught us a few moves we probably should have remembered from our Aggie Wrangler classes but we didn't!  Here was the group!

Sunday

Craig was working again on Sunday, so we hung out until he got off!  Cici kept a few green beans from her garden (the only ones emalyn will eat) alive and brought them for her to snap!  She really enjoys it and eats them up!

Emalyn ate her lunch but we were still waiting for daddy, so we made a quick trip to the splash pad!

I think the water surprised her 😄

So different than a month ago when she would barely touch the water.  Now look at her go!

She's even willing to get water straight up the nose to try and block the water with her feet!

Daddy got off work, we had a quick lunch and Cici and Popo headed home!

Monday

Another absolute OBSESSION at the moment is her purse (thank you Pappy and Dee Dee!). It has a phone, keys, credit card, and mirror in it.  She would probably be happy all day with just this one you at the moment!  Now I know most of these are blurry... I can't tell you how quick she is!  I will say that I am learning a whole lot about my habits from my daughter.  

I will just say its very weird to see a young child pretending to text... Or email...Or Facebook or whatever else it is we all do on our phones!

The highlight of her pretend play though is definitely her phone conversations.

We made another trip to the splash pad, and there was a big camp/school group there so it was a bit full.

This picture is to give you an idea of our afternoon on Monday... I don't think this does it justice, but emalyn slammed her head into the door frame and has a 3 dimensional bruise in the middle of her forehead. Needless to say I didn't stick to the 'paci and lovie' in bed only' rule that afternoon.

Tuesday

We did a lot more than lay in bed Tuesday, but this is all the documentation I have!

Wednesday

We went to Lions Park which has TWO great playgrounds Wednesday morning and both Em and I were literally wet by the time we left.  It is too hot and too humid!  The kids still had some fun though!

Wednesday afternoon Cy and Pres came over while Isla got her shots :/.  I don't know when she learned, but emalyn knows how to climb the toys and get on the bed.  She got up there at 3:50 and didn't get down until I offered dinner at 5:00.  That's a really long time for an 18 month old to do anything!

The boys brought her lots of stuff to entertain her :)
